About William Lee Martin

Legendary Texas comedian William Lee Martin has announced his nationwide stand-up tour, the All-American Mutt Comedy Tour, which includes a stop at The Loony Bin Comedy Club in Tulsa, Thursday - Saturday, October 21-23, 2021.The 2021-2022 tour kicked off earlier this year in Martin’s hometown of Fort Worth, Texas. Its name, the All-American Mutt Comedy Tour, is a nod to Martin’s being a self-proclaimed “mutt” – a mixed breed who doesn’t fit neatly into any single box physically, politically, or philosophically. As Martin quips in his show, “I was told I was a 5th generation Texan and part Native American. So, I got on ancestry.com and took the DNA test. Turns out the Texan part was true but as far as the Native American? Thirteen countries were listed and none were from Native America. Apparently, my ancestors were with everyone BUT the Native Americans! Then, it hit me. I am a mutt - an All-American Mutt! And, I’m really proud of that. After all, who doesn’t love a mutt?” Martin is easy to spot in his starched jeans and signature cowboy hat, but he’s no one-trick pony. Pairing his classic bits with fresh material and hilarious new stories, Martin connects with ordinary folks who share his ordinary problems. Mike Crow of Shooter-FM, said, “Martin’s live comedy show is hilariously funny. He doesn’t use foul language but is willing to take material to the edge and lean over as far as he can.” With a career that spans 25 years, you may remember Martin by his original stage name, “Cowboy Bill.” He currently has two critically acclaimed comedy specials on Amazon Prime, “Standing in the Middle” and “The Nutcracker”. He was a regular on Carnival Cruise Lines. He kicked off 2021 with a feature spot and interview on The Mike Huckabee Show. Today you can connect with him via his “4pm Daily Talk Y’all” on Facebook, where since the start of the pandemic he’s brought positivity, a lot of laughs, and some levity to his nearly half a million followers. $1 of every ticket sold on the tour will go to the Cowboys Who Care Foundation which provides smiles, support and free Resistol cowboy hats to kids with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. To date, they have given over 10,000 hats across the country.
